Nor spent 31 years with Cargill, 25 of which were in Asia running their operations in Korea, Japan and China. Throughout his tenure the company significantly expanded operations in these three countries.
In 2010 Nor became the Chairman and President of Enactus China, the China branch of the US non-profit, Enactus. During his six years as president the organization grew rapidly adding over 40 new sponsoring companies and 175 universities to its network. In 2011 Nor began his association with IMA Asia which provides a peer group forum for Asia based CEO’s.
Nor served as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in 2008 and 2009 and received Shanghai’s Silver Magnolia Award as an outstanding expat resident in 2002.
British by origin, Bill grew up in UK, graduating with a first class honours degree in Modern History and Economics from the University of Oxford, but has spent his entire professional career of more than 40 years working from bases in Asia.
Bill spent the first more than 20 years of his career working in corporate leadership roles for prominent listed and family controlled enterprises in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, such as Jardines and the Economist Group.
Bill was a Senior Partner of EgonZehnder, where in a track record of more than 20 years, he helped take the firm to market leadership in the premium people consulting segment in East Asia. After attaining retirement age, Bill continues to play a role in helping people make better decisions through his own business advisory practice, Consigliere Limited.
Jackie spent 22+ years with Sigma Pharmaceuticals where she gained vast and deep experience in several key management disciplines as she excelled in several executive management roles of Chief Information Officer, Chief Financial Officer and then General Manager of the Wholesaling division with annual sales of AUD 2.5b.
In 2011, she joined Staples Australia as Vice President of Supply Chain. During her time in Staples Australia, Jackie actively supported their Business Woman of the Year program as an executive sponsor in 2011 and 2012. Jackie was a top finalist in the CEO Magazine’s 2012 Executive of the Year award.
In 2013, Jackie was promoted to her current position in Shanghai, China. She is passionate about promoting the welfare and progress of women in the work place, introducing a lactation room and actively acting as a coach for women in leadership.
Jackie loves to travel, meeting new people, cooking and singing.
Prior to his current position, Ranga was the Chief Executive Officer of Infosys China for the past 18 years. He has 25 years of experience in Information Technology. He has worked extensively in US, Australia and Greater China markets in various roles. He performed leading roles in client management and delivery in technology outsourcing and consulting business. His key interests are in motivating and developing high performing team.
Ranga has been in Shanghai for more than 8 years. Under his leadership Infosys China has expanded its business and operations across 7 cities in China and has developed large relationship with large Chinese corporations.
He has Bachelor of Technology degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Prior to Infosys, he worked in large corporations in India and in Indian Civil Service.
Kristi Swartz, the managing partner of our Hong Kong office, concentrates her practice in corporate finance and securities including SFC matters. Ms. Swartz also represents clients in strategic commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, alternative financing and other such corporate matters.
Ms. Swartz has experience with SFC and HKEx Listing and compliance issues. She has acted for, and successfully defended, both companies and Directors (to include INED) on enquiries and investigations of market manipulation and insider dealing.
Ms. Swartz advises Fortune 500 companies and high profile net-worth individuals worldwide, as well as newer emerging growth companies and start-ups. She represents clients in Hong Kong, China, Asia and Europe, in a broad range of industries, such as finance, venture capital, and telecommunications.
She has provided legal counsel to East Asia Tax Service Limited, the Lithuanian Consulate, the Indian Chamber of Commerce, the Overseas Indian Organization (Hong Kong), and the Consulate of Uruguay, to name a few.
